15 year old Tina Fontaine goes missing in Winnipeg, Canada. Her body is later found in the Red River after a boat propeller dislodged the weighted duvet cover that held her. Ruby Franke rode the wave of internet fame from vlogging, creating an account called 8 Passengers. She chronicled her "life" with her family, but this sweet, LDS mother was not as she seemed. She scripted what was to be seen and when bits of her real life leaked out, the public response was to notify CPS. As she spiraled downward, she found new friend and counselor Jodi Hildebrant, a monster that matched her taste. Together the two indoctrinated the family into outlandish ideals until the men were isolated and out of the way. Then the pair set about torturing the youngest two of the Franke children. The ordeal only ended when youngest son Russell managed to escape, something not taken lightly after a previous failed attempt result in harsh "punishment". His act of bravery saved both himself and younger sister Eve from the real possibility of their deaths. In 1975, fifteen year old Martha went to her next door neighbors house for all Hallows Eve. She does not come home that night. Instead her body is found in the wood line in front of her own home the next morning. An investigation gets underway swiftly and prominent neighbors and the last known witnesses to her are spoken to along with the staff in the house. Still there is little evidence and soon the case goes cold. It isn't until 2000 that the case has a resolution, when Michael Skakel is arrested, then later tried and convicted. After years in prison the verdict is over turned then returned just to be over turned for a third time. Leaving the state able to prosecute again. But they decline, leaving everyone to wonder, who murdered Martha Moxley. Susan Monica served in the military during the Vietnam war. After being honorably discharged she worked as an engineer before purchasing a 20+ acre farm. There she hired multiple live-in handymen. But after a family is unable to reach their father, police are called. During the investigation, his EBT card is used in nearby Grants Pass. Video shows Susan at the ATM. A warrant is obtained and during the property search a leg is found out in the open. Clearly human and clearly cut. Interrogation results in the possibility of more victims. In the end two men are found, both murdered and dismembered at the hands of Susan.
Miranda vs Arizona established the Miranda Warning. But nobody talks about the man and the crime. Ernest Miranda wasn't some innocent man who was simply bullied by police. He was a recidivist with a multitude of criminal cases prior to the case that made him famous. Miranda was a serial attacker of women, working his way up to rape. Harvey was born in 1927 in Fargo, North Dakota. During the great depression, his lack of nutrition stunted his growth and he wet the bed until 11. Once he started stealing things, he was moved around between family before finally ending up in a boys home. There his height exploded to 6'2". When he exited the boys home at 18, he joined the Army. His first duty station was Alaska. There he began to show his true colors. He killed a woman and attacked another. For this he was discharged and sentence to death, but a technicality vacated the murder charge. His assault charge was limited, but saw him do time in Alcatraz before being released. Still he was in an out of prison, even when he moved to Washington. There he married on two different occasions. But when a teenager goes missing, Harvey is the prime suspect. Joel was born in 1959 and immediately placed for adoption. But a loving family took him in, later adopting a daughter to expand the family. He grew up in New York state and was a slow kid. Called Joel the Turtle by his peers, bullied throughout his school years. When he graduated, he tried and failed college, preferring sex workers to class. Jobs didn't prove much better. That was until his father died. After that he finished school, but never grew out of wanting to be with sex workers. But after idolizing serial murders for too long, he decided to join them. Pee Wee was born in the 1930's and almost immediately the neglect began. After drinking kerosene at one he suffered convulsions for years. All the men in his life inflicted capital punishment on him. He was a fighter from the beginning. He thought school was useless and quit early on. Then met a couple of other like-minded boys and his criminal career took off. After a while, the law caught on and he was in and out of the confines for years. As an adult, nobody was to question him. He did what he wanted, when he wanted. Including taking any life he saw fit. For years he reigned, until the law finally caught up with him. Bored in prison with his life sentence, he was challenged to kill again. For this he received the death penalty. Unfortunately once he learned to fight, he became more than a formidable opponent. After quitting school, he got in with the wrong crew of friends. Leading to a life of crime. Paul John Knowles had run-ins with authority from a young age. Starting with the truant officers in schools then police officers soon after. He became a ward of the state when his parents decided he was too much. From there the downward spiral began. He quickly went from group homes, orphanages and then landing himself in a boys home. Once he turned 18, he was left on the streets. Not knowing what to do with himself or how to support himself legally, he did the only thing he could think of. Stealing. After multiple stints in, Paul found himself in love, but it wouldn't last and in the wake of reality a killing spree began. One that lasted less than six months, but cost the lives of dozens that are known. Upon his final take down, media minted him the Casanova Killer for his looks. His looks that killed. November 10th 1975, a storm swept across Lake Superior. By the end of the night, one ship was at the bottom of the lake. Martin was unfortunate enough to be born from an exiled father. He grew up as an only child after the death of his younger brother. But that wasn't easy either. After the empire invaded their homeland, the family fled only to be caught as they sought refuge. His father was killed and Martin witnessed the entire affair. His mother became catatonic, by four he learned how to find enough food to survive. As an adult he stayed away from people as best he could, but life was hard. After injuries he found his niche taking care of livestock. But a woman found him intriguing. Pushing them into courtship, then marriage. She wanted to sit at home living a comfortable life. But Martin couldn't provide....until he started stealing from women. This led to attacks and murders. For years he went after women, selling their jewelry and clothes. As the bodies stockpiled, so did their clothes. The items would help lead to the couples undoing. He was tried and convicted for the crimes that could be proven. In the spring of 1992, six people were murdered. All of them in shops next to the I-70 highway. Five of the six were women. All brunettes with slender build. They were killed execution style in the back of the shops with a small caliber bullet. The media released the information that the gun was the linking element and the killer went silent. Years later a string of killings occurred along another stretch of highway in the South. But still nothing. In 2021 a joint task force was created to solve these murders. Built in the 13th Century, this castle is built for unknown reasons. It was built with defenses facing in. The windows were fake and there wasn't even a kitchen or water resources. Many locals believed that it was built to keep demons rising from the depth of hell. That the chapel within the walls was placed directly over a pit in which creatures and demons had come out and plagued the local area. After Nazi's occupied the area, more rumors swirled that paranormal investigation was their purpose within the walls. Some days live in infamy, April 15th, 2013 is one that will live on in the minds of many. Particularly those in Boston Massachusetts. The day that two brothers started 101 hour reign of terror on the Boston and surrounding area. It began with two pressure cooker bombs set off at a historic marathon. Then the callous murder of a police officer, a kidnapping and carjacking, and a shoot-out with police. The elder brother, Tamerlan was killed following the shoot-out, but younger brother Jahaar managed to hide out for hours and hours. Still this may not have been Tamerlans first episode of unprovoked violence. Years prior, it is suspected that he completed a triple homicide, killing long-time friend Brendan, roommate Erik and neighbor Raj. Suspected but never proven.
