Joe and Brian touched on Universal Income. What would happen given human nature? I thought of a mouse experiment called "Mouse Heaven" The mouse colony was called the Mortality-Inhibiting Environment for Mice. Unofficially, it was called mouse heaven and the experiment and ran 25 different times with the same outcome. Heaven turned into hell and eventually the mice stopped breeding and the colonies died out...it was total chaos... I think thats what would happen if you gave humans a universally high income.

The story of Operation Auca should have been contrasted with Everett’s story. 180 degree difference. Everett was intellectually dishonest to not mention it and the long history of Steve Saint and his friendship with Mincaye, the tribesman who speared his father to death. Mincaye saw angels deliver the souls of Steve’s father and the other missionaries from scene to Heaven and Mincaye became a Christian minister. Very different than Everett’s often smug view of Christianity. It was hard to buy much of what Everett said. The very thing he complained about with Chauncey he now exhibits. Joe let me down on this one.

I met Joe at a 2008-2009 stand up at Austin Comedy club show at the bar and this dude was incredibly nice. He hasn’t changed at all and this show is exactly how it’s always been. People who question him on his political beliefs are stupid as can be. He invited everyone who could possibly be part of the presidential process, and one person did not accept it. Obviously she didn’t win, so here in Texas we have a guy who is a Democrat and Joe had him on the show, and he is very intelligent and here we are. Friends keep challenging me that he sold out. He’s invited so many different folks to the show and the elected not to go.

Rogan is one of the worst interviewers there is. He brings on crackpots and wing nuts then lets them spout nonsense and conspiracy theory FOR HOURS without asking any tough questions or any follow up questions at all. It feels like Rogan is just scrolling social media during his interviews as he has no skill for deepening a conversation or getting to the root issues of a book, or political view, or whatever. How this guy is one of the big shots of the podcast world is totally beyond me.

While I find Joe to be very intelligent and present rational and compelling positions on a variety of topics, I have three reasons for my two-star review: 1. The one podcast I listened to recently was with Taylor Sheridan - Way too much Joe Rogan ranting about HIS positions/beliefs during the podcast and not NEARLY enough questions that gave us an opportunity to know Taylor Sheridan; 2. Rogan got sidetracked with a discussion of oxalates and was as guilty with his explanation as CNN is about exaggerating and fabricating facts and evidence. There are up to 30x more oxalates in some vegetables than almond milk, for example. Yes it can lead to kidney stones for those that are prone to it, but his overall condemnation of oxalates and by association almond milk, oat milk, etc. is wildly misleading; 3. I swear like a sailor when I’m with my friends, but the overuse of the “f” word is just sheer laziness for a professional podcaster and communicator. He can and should do better, and won’t win me over until he does.

This podcast literally gets me through my day and I learned so much because Joe is so intelligent and the people that he brings on the podcast are super interesting and very unique and I absolutely look forward to every single podcast that he has so if I could give 300 stars I totally would, but I can only get five stars, but this is the best podcast hands-down and I’ve been listening to it since the get-go literally so thank you Joe and don’t stop what you’re doing …. and continue with the podcast and all of the interesting stuff that you talk about and all the information that you share with the entire world who listens to your show I can’t get enough of it.

Same conversation / topics every other episode. Boring. Ep 2541 guest is peak fiction & ridiculous. Joe I give credit for having unpopular guests at key important moments, but man he has some clowns on too and I don’t mean the comedian kind. The AI is a life form hacks are just ridiculous. Ads every few minutes. But the people leaving remarks trashing Joe as some powerful figure, he’s a comedian ya clowns. Get a life!
