Joe Rogan tends to spew a lot of stoner-type philosophy, The kind of stuff that a bunch of 17-year olds sitting around listening to Dark Side of The Moon in 1982 would think is AMAZING, but sober adults just find boring. On top of that, he takes himself way to seriously. It's good when he has people on who are actually smart.

Joe is a legend, not only in his own right, but I have also been introduced to so many interesting humans through the JRE. Also love the regulars, particularly Tom & Christina, Redban, Schaub and countless others that have led to lots of awesome intellectual, comedic, sport and loads of others cool stuff. This used to be a pretty funny, entertaining podcast. Now it's as dull as NPR and Joe's pretty full of himself and unlikable. The guests aren't good and often the topics of conversation seem like stuff only Joe is interested in and nobody else. At least not me anyway. It has none of the charm it used to have. It used to be a podcast that didn't take itself too seriously. Now I feel like Joe sees all the popularity and thinks he has to become some kind of guru and now he's trying to run a serious talk show or something. I honestly think it's just run out of steam. You're not a great mind Joe. Stop trying to be one.

When I started working from home, I needed something to listen to. I used to be an ACS listener, but needed something a little less angry. Joe Rogan delivers. He's got great guests, intelligent and hilarious conversation and the long form interviews are a great way to get into some deep topics. Love it.
