Joe, you need to have someone on to rebutt recent guests Richard Dawkins and Edward Snowden. Dawkins’ arguments are simplistic and worn-out, and it would be refreshing to here rebuttals on JRE from someone like Bishop Barron in LA. As for Snowden, it would only be responsible for someone like Mike Baker, or even Jocko Willink or Tim Kennedy, someone from the DoD or IC who can calmly and dispel Snowden’s self-sympathetic case.

I absolutely love this podcast. I’m addicted. I love Joe Rogan and have an appreciation for comedy and the people he interviews. However, I have a hard time following it when he endlessly talks MMA. Not many people I know spar regularly, or have professional fighting matches. Most men I know aren’t in shape and they definitely aren’t hitting other guys in the face. I get it’s a hobby.. just like elk hunting (which segments I love), but I’m always hoping if I skip the MMA titled episodes, he doesn’t start talking MMA with someone like Nikki Glaser.. Which always seems to end up happening.

If you believe half of what Joe says on this podcast I feel sorry for you. Joe Rogan is a conservative moron who appeals to people by by bringing on people from all backgrounds, but then softballs the people that agree with him and grills those that don’t. If I had a dollar for every time Joe said something false without presenting evidence to back up his claim, I could retire a millionaire.

Hi Joe, I enjoy the behind the scenes look into life as a comic and how there are politics within the clubs as to why go to one versus the other. Also think it would be great to have Kirk Minihane as he has been someone that has been censored for being opinionated and now being harassed and losing advertisers over it. Apparently he is now being followed by someone at random locations to find any dirt on him.

I’m a late 20’s female and can’t get enough of this podcast. Quality and variance of guests, and the opportunity to hear ideas and theories truly massaged out by intelligent individuals makes for great listening. Big fan.

I write this review quite a few years into my listenership of the Podcast. I have found over the years I have listened to Rogan that his show varies wildly in quality depending on the guest. For a long time I attributed this to the guest - some people are just more interesting than others or speak on topics that a listener finds more or less interesting. However, as time went by I began to realise that there was more to it that this... Rogan is actually a really badly prepared interviewer. He enters his interviews with often very little understanding of the person he is speaking to. At first I thought this didn’t matter as the show was very conversational and lasted a long time but then I started to notice gaping holes in the discussions. The first few times I noticed this were when guests were talking on subjects that I myself have expertise in - I realised that key bits of information were missing or not questioned. I then began to notice that even the less academic interviews/ guests seemed to come and go without any probing of obvious talking points. A less academic but good example of this was Kelly Slater the 11 time world champion surfer who holds a laundry list of world records and titles, lived for many years with Rogan and his mutual friend- Shane Dorian (in a group house as part of the momentum generation), owns the worlds most prominent inland wave park, has released musical albums, owns a high end ethical clothing and equipment label after departing an enormous Sponsorship deal and turning down shares in quicksilver, was one of Pamela Anderson’s best known pre Tommy Lee boyfriends, dated Cameron Diaz and was even a cast member in 90’s Baywatch etc, etc... However, Rogan managed to not ask him a single thing about any of these. A simple Wikipedia search would have revealed most of this and a skilled interviewer would have excavated this content with ease. Sadly, because of the realisation that Rogan doesn’t necessarily ‘get’ his guests as is often further evidenced by him misquoting or simply relying on elements of confirmation bias when describing their thoughts and theories to other (later) guests; my enjoyment of The podcast has diminished over time. It’s simply not as clever or informed as it first seems. I do still occasionally listen but I am just mindful that I am probably not being presented with the full picture and I just completely avoid any of the shows with Joe’s friends such as Joey Diaz, Bryan Callen or Brendan Shaub. Joes obviously a great guy and as interesting himself as many of his guests he just isn’t as good at getting the best out of them as he seems on first listen.

Each episode I listen to, whether its with fellow friendly comedians, a wackjob conspiracy theorist, or a thought provoking PhD scientist, is a genuine conversation that I always feel like I am a part of. It’s the ultimate way to feel like I am still getting, and learning from, the human experience while I go about my day. My day would feel a lot lonelier, and a lot less insightful, without this podcast.
