The Joe Rogan Experience

I truly cannot get enough Joe. He has a tendency to draw a lot of discrimination from the media, but I think if you take an opportunity to dive into his discussions, you will find a great conversationalist willing to push anyone out of there comfort zone to get to the bottom of issues, regardless of where they may lie on the political spectrum. There is such a variety of shows, those more serious intellectual discussions to hilarious conversations with fellow comedians. Throughout all of this, there is an underlying challenge for each of us to pursue the best versions of ourselves, physically, mentally, and socially. Thank you Joe!

Love Joe’s podcast & I’m not really a reviewer but the Dan Crenshaw recent episode is excellent. As a European, American politics and their healthcare system or lack of seem like madness but Dan puts things into perspective in a really digestible way that allows you to consider another side.

Simply love Joe Rogan as at his core, he’s a good human. Respect Mr. Crenshaw’s background but have to push back on some of his assertions. I’m registered non-partisan, have voted for Republicans, Democrats, Independent. Bumper sticker on my truck...”Country Before Party.” US healthcare best in the world? Data I’ve seen in multiple places does not support that. We spend way more than several countries, and we have poorer outcomes. Reportedly, (Kaiser Family Foundation and several other studies) thousands upon thousands of US citizens a year declare bankruptcy due to inability to pay medical bills. Can argue the numbers but the overall point is we have huge healthcare problems that can’t be dismissed by simply saying we have the best. I get the knee jerk reaction of most, including myself, to keep government out of lots of our lives, but consider this: It’s common for insurance companies to tack on 20% administration fee to a medical bill they cover. US government charges 2% to administer Medicare. So you tell me which is the better deal? Mr. Crenshaw understandably objects to cost of Medicare for all. It’s a pickle for sure. But defends his opposition saying in effect we just can’t deficit spend like that. Good lord, Republicans have shown they are happy to spend like drunken sailors while chopping at safety net for citizenry. Sure there’s waste that should be rooted out, but anybody noted any data from one and only Dept. of Defense audit? Including $5.9 trillion spent since 9/11? No hue and cry over that spending. Well, maybe we ought to consider whether or not we need the cost of 800 military bases around the world? Entire rest of the world has less than 40. Are they keeping us safe, or, in many cases irritating and inciting the local populations? People say, Better to fight them over there than here.” Anybody considered we’re fighting them over there BECAUSE we’re there, seen as invading and occupying force? If we’d do whatever operation we deem necessary and get the hell out of Dodge, lot of this unending war might seriously diminish. Check back to what Regan’s Secretary of Navy, decorated veteran James Webb said and forecast about our Proposed Iraq/Afghani operations. Finally, Mr. Crenshaw falls back on time honored conservative tropes, not all of which are wrong, but need to be probed a little deeper. Can’t socialize medicine. Socialism never works. How about we look around the world and take elements of what works? It’s not all or nothing. Call it what you want but I got news for you, the NFL is an example of socialism. You think Green Bay Packers could exist without revenue sharing? Seems to me they’re pretty successful. And as Rogan points out, fire departments, police, EMTs? They’re there for the community good. Say what you want about those Nordic countries, they aren’t clamoring to be like the US. And they’re consistently at the top of the satisfaction scale. Something to think about. Dan the system is broken. We’re putting corporations on welfare now. Why? Because they are failing to run their companies in ways to survive turmoil. Little to no help for citizens but all the money corporations need to survive. If you are free market then follow ‘all’ the rules... not some of them.

Rogan can get people to talk and it’s great up to a point. When it’s experts in a field it is super informative. But he also has on a lot of conspiracy pushers and after a while it gets ridiculous listening to them talk their craziness. Decided it’s not worth listening to the inconsistency in the show guests and disregard for facts.

Best podcast ever! I’ve been a fan of yours since fear factor and early days of UFC. Commentator for my favorite sport that I have been following since the early days of the sport. Just an all around decent human and very knowledgeable. Learn something new every episode I listen too. And to top it off, cares about wildlife! Thank you Joe for being you!

Joe Rogan has some great guests, occasionally. He loves to inject his opinions to much which becomes tenuous. He lacks articulation and eloquence in his questioning, often stuttering or struggling to find the words. His podcast crosses the lines between sport, stoner chat, politics, science, and his own nonsense conspiracy theories. Roll the dice, it might be interesting after you’ve sifted through the cringeworthy adverts.

Why is someone’s political opinion a basis for whether or not you can enjoy their content? If you don’t like their views, try and at least listen to what they’re saying to understand where they’re coming from. Joe is an excellent example of that. Listen to understand, not to disagree.
