I used to love listening to Joe, classic episodes like Glen Villeneuve and other interesting people who’s stories could have so easily been overlooked seem to be a thing if the past Rupert Lowe is nothing but an an online character who seeds hate and division I live in England and we are not being “conquered” or “invaded” like Rupert claims. Anybody with half a brain cell knows this and quite frankly platforming this idiot and just “hearing him out” without having any of the information to actually challenge him is idiotic Come on Joe you big Dummy you have been to England and its pretty clear we do not live under Sharia Law (alcohol is pretty much our national pass time) In fact muslims make up about 7% of the demographics of this country Get a grip dum dum and stop having these absolute sausages on unless you’ve actually done your research in order to challenge their claims.

Joe Rogan has a long history of broadcasting harmful misinformation to hundreds of millions of people. Whilst interviewing discredited far-right politician Rupert Lowe, he recently trivialised the 1996 Dunblane Massacre by claiming that it consisted of “one murder”. In fact, perpetrator Thomas Hamilton walked into a school and murdered 16 small children, as well as their teacher. A further 15 children were shot but survived. Hamilton carried four handguns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition with the sole purpose of slaughtering as many innocent kids as possible. This was easily the darkest, most horrendous day in Scotland’s modern history. The massacre led to a community-led campaign which resulted in a ban on handgun ownership in the UK. This was almost universally supported by the British public. His false comments, made in order to justify handgun ownership, are utterly reprehensible and have offended the millions of Scots who carry that traumatic memory in their minds. This mindless idiot and his harmful podcast need to be removed from broadcasting platforms.

I do regularly listen to Joe and have for years. But I fear lately he is alienating people by repeating falsehoods and generalizations. Joe perpetually states that Dearborn, MI banned the pride flag. Maybe he should visit there because it is not banned, as a simple Google or Perplexity search would tell him. It is banned in nearby Hamtramck which is primarily Yemeni. I work in downtown Detroit with many Dearborn coworkers. It is a very welcoming, multicultural community. I would consider myself conservative and even graduated from Hillsdale College. Furthermore, Joe is constantly pushing anti-anti-depressant narratives. Neither of us is a doctor so while I agree they are overprescribed, it should not be his position to critique anyone on them as it could be their lifeline. And speaking on Theo Von was a low blow, and I appreciate Joe’s apology.

Never any push back on falsehoods and uses terms he shows a clear lack of understanding of. Has a good point once in a while but it’s 1 out of 10 at best. Most of the rest are at least good for a laugh.

Joe claims he doesn’t promote wacky conspiracy theories but he does. Seeds doubt in established science while giving credence to “hocus-pocus science”, claims neutrality but is clearly hard right. Of course if you’re a dimwit ignorant, you’re gonna eat this drivel up as gospel.

This used to be my favorite podcast. And sometimes I still go back and listen to old episodes before he was compromised/ lost his mind, whichever you think is more likely. It’s such a bummer because he was one of the best interviewers in the game. Now it’s just like Fox News for Millennials. Bring the old Joe back!
