It’s silly, funny and really upbeat. Even though I’m from the south (Southampton) love it!! I’m going to go up north lots more.

I’m a Northerner from Bratford who moved to London too. I love this podcast, it’s so fun and I look forward to it every week! In February I’ll be going to a second live recording. Something quite lovely about all the northerners in London coming together in one room to hear bizarre stories from the magical north. Keep up the pod ✨

Ian and Amy are hilarious and the format works brilliantly. This pod makes me laugh out loud, and I rarely laugh out loud.

Why the picture of a crocodile, on the Northern News Insta, that had obviously been killed and dumped by someone? Animal cruelty as humour -pretty sketchy.

Content is unique and lighthearted, the hosts are hilarious and their chemistry is perfect. Highly recommend, just joined the Patreon and love it too. New favourite show xx

This is so good. Please create an opportunity for subscribers to comment on each episode like the podcast What’s Upset You Now has.

So many comedy podcasts in the world - I listen to lots of them. So, it was with surprise that after starting to listen to Northern News I actually caught myself laughing, aloud, in real life! And then it occurred to me - that doesn’t happen very often. Northern News is actually ‘reet’ funny, so I can start deleting all those ‘comedy podcasts’ which have never made me laugh, once.

Several episodes later and subscriptions, adverts and stale delivery makes it a little tedious. I will give it one more try but suspect its not series idea, but something shorter.

Living and working across the north, this podcast and its humour really rings true. Having recently relocated to the Hull area and regularly passing Goole the stories are particularly hilarious. Keep up the good work guys.

Amy and Ian riff so well off each other that I could listen to them talk about anything. They are quick witted and sharp with just the right amount of charming.

I’m a really big fan of the hosts of this show and the way they present such charmingly inane news stories from the north. Give it a listen - you absolutely won’t be disappointed. Never fails to crack me up and give me a much needed boost in my day!

I love Amy and Ian and I love this podcast!! Nonsense local news is the absolute best and this has me laughing out loud the whole way through. Except I will say, I'm the person who orders those little wet carrots from Maccies and they aren't as bad as they look, I promise!!

Really enjoyed the first episode of this, very funny, great presenters and a good guest. However, I hope they credit the reporters who found the stories in future. There are some brilliant regional papers in the North but staff are increasingly overworked and underpaid - the least they deserve is credit for their work, especially the funny stories which don’t just appear out of nowhere.
