I use this podcast to keep up on aircraft fleet information and love the strange or add aviation news as they come up.

I subscribe to several #AvGeek podcasts but this one is by far the best. Ian and Jason are very entertaining and cover a great array of topics. You wonβt be disappointed.

I am not a pilot and have little technical knowledge of planes but I love to fly and travel. I found this podcast through the Flightradar24 app weekly email. I really enjoy this podcast because of the variety of topics, from crashes to dealing with plane configurations to cherry tree drying helicopters. The hosts are knowledgeable but not uppity about it. They have entertaining and animated guests as well. I listen to a wide variety of podcasts (sports, news, comedy) and this is among my faves.

I always look forward to the latest biweekly update of the aviation industry from Ian and Jason. AvTalk skirts the fine line between detailed and βin the weedsβ on all manner of subjects from cargo planes of ketchup packets to sheep on a French runway.

The FR24 podcast is produced by Ian and Jason, two great avgeeks. They deliver the latest news in aviation world reliable and in a very funny way. As Flightradar24 is the best tracking app on the market, the FR24 podcast is the best podcast on the market as well.

For anyone who is interested in planes or the aviation industry, this is the only podcast worth listening too. Huge variety of topics, up to date news and all explained in a super accessible way.

I learned about this podcast via FR24 and decided to give it a try. That was 50 episodes ago...speaks for itself ;-) The two hosts Ian and Jason cover recent aviation related topics and news in an informative but yet entertaining manner. I personally like their sense of humor and the show is often enriched with guests from all over the aviation industry. Even pilots, mechanics and CEOs have been interviewed so far. Iβll stick with it, thereβs not much more you could ask of an aviation related podcast! (maybe a live show some time?!) Keep those episodes coming!

I was always interested in aviation, but didnβt know much about it. One day I found FR24 on Twitter, and started listening to this podcast. Now, I am an avid AvGeek. This podcast is extremely informative, keeps me up to date with the news, and teaches me all sorts of fun stuff about aviation!

I have listened to this podcast since the start. It's probably the best roundup of commercial aviation i've heard; Ian and Jason introduce you to a plethora of interesting niche fields you didn't know existed. My only note is that I hope they increase the diversity of the people they feature β they haven't got the balance of female guests right yet.

This is the best podcast to listen to for an Avgeek

AvTalk is one of the podcasts that I always listen to as soon as it comes out. Ian and Jason are insightful and well informed, and their guests always bring interesting perspectives.

This is amongst my favorite podcasts because it is sufficiently geeky and detailed while still being conversational and fun. Most importantly Jason and Ian do a great job of covering global aviation and not just being America-centric like some of the other podcasts out there. It also doesnβt hurt that Jason sounds like the vocal clone of a good friend that I rarely see because he lives on the opposite side of the planet.
Super Geeky AvGeek Β· US
I subscribe to several aviation podcasts but this is definitely my first choice. Jason and Ian are very knowledgable, the range of their topics fits well with my own interests (and, unlike some, is not exclusively US-centred). They frequently have guests - some are regulars, others are ad hoc - and I always find the balance just right. I first heard the podcast about 18 months ago and immediately βbinge-listenedβ to all the episodes I had missed. Iβve been an avgeek for about 60 years - I started when my school friend brought in photos and rough diagrams of Concorde, which his Dad was helping to design just five miles away from where we lived - so I have seen the type and depth of information available change enormously during that time. As in virtually any other sector, the type and sources of information now available in the aviation field are mind-blowing; Iβm really happy that I (finally) found AvTalk, and Iβve had no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Jason and Ian are great hosts for this podcast - they do a great job running through the news but also providing insightful and funny commentary that helps contextualize the stories. Great source of aviation related entertainment!

The FR24 Podcast ist my favorite aviation podcast. Itβs a pure joy to listen to Ian and Jason explaining the latest news and developments in aviation in a very funny, but also profound way. I always enjoy listening to the podcast during my plane spotting activities. My favorite moment? When they described the engines of Airbus A340-300 series as underpowered hairdryers.

For anyone who is interested in planes or the world of aviation this is a brilliant podcast. It is relaxing and informative to listen to and the two week cycle means it is current but not too repetitive (unless there is a global pandemic with few flights happening and a complete unknown future but that isnβt their fault!). Well worth listening to!

They provide great aviation news and interesting discussions about commercial aviation. I wouldnβt mind longer episodes or more frequent episodes.
