One of my absolute favourite podcasts since I started listening last year! This podcast has been consistently fascinating over the last few years of developing my interest in the world of aviation. A perfect balance between the core strategies and numbers of commercial aviation and coverage of the great planes that bring out everyone’s inner avgeek! 5 stars!

A great show that is goes incredibly in-depth on all things aviation in an entertaining and informative way. The news roundup is always very informative and the diversity of the roles of the people that are interviewed provides great insight into air travel and the aviation industry. Perhaps most importantly and unlike some other aviation content, I am not a member of the aviation industry and have never struggled to understand the discussion on this show. I’d recommend it to all avgeeks, amateurs and professionals alike.

Ian and Jason do a great job keeping you informed of what is going on in commercial aviation both in the United States where the show is based but also around the world. The episodes drop approximately every 2 weeks and are about 1 hour long.

I have listened to this podcast since episode 76, and I have now begun to catch up on previous episodes. My favourite episode was definitely the 2019 stories roundup, it was incredibly interesting and I loved listening to the podcast during walks. Thanks for providing this for the aviation community for free :)

I’ve been a listener of AvTalk literally since episode 1 back in the days, always looking forward to the next episode. It’s a really nice way to keep up on what’s happening in the world of aviation from different perspectives like airlines, airports, technology broadly, travel, but also business. Jason and Ian often bring very knowledgeable guests, even from related industries (like maritime traffic!). Coverage is a bit biased on the US (that’s OK) but has a lot of international aspects too. The conversations are always friendly, fun, and easy to follow for a non-native speaker. Keep it up!

Jason and Ian’s conversations about current happenings with global aviation are in depth enough for those who are in the industry to be able to learn new things and yet not so far as to bore the casual listener. They have a perfect combination of seriousness and lighthearted banter at appropriate times. Also, I love the intro/outro tune!

This is my favorite podcast about commercial aviation. It is on the long side, Whitley tends to make it quite thoughtful. It is mostly aimed at plane spotters, but it does go into a good amount of depth on the business of aviation and aviation operations. Many aviation themed shows can have a mansplainey aspect and this is not exception. Though it is probably less bad than most.

I cannot recommend this one highly enough! Jason and Ian are very knowledgeable about the Aviation Industry - and cover topics of interest to those ranging from having a casual interest to those with a deep and abiding commitment to their AvGeekery.. I especially like the way the guys keep the show light - and the range of special guests that they have had on have been perfect. This is one of my very favourite podcasts - and I do not miss it..!!
