Have to say I am Whitehall obsessed, I have every book, listen diligently to the pod and partake in any content they create. My only gripe is some of the anecdotes are from the books or shows slightly repeated or adjusted - some new stories would be fantastic! Oh and shark infested waters needs an audiobook! :) big fan!

The Whitehalls have become very much my guiltiest pleasure. Imagine a long established Putney couple of upper middle class extraction, with that very disconcerting English dichotomy of masterly, high cultural savoir-faire, and what should be a very embarrassing ignorance of most matters continental. Except that they are not embarrassed, far from it, and 82-year-old Michael may just throw in a patrician “F-off” to demonstrate. Who are these people? I don’t know, but they truly are a hoot.

Love the banter between Hilary & Michael but could do without all the bashing of America… our politics, traditions, etc. The long synopses of “imagine living your entire life in America” in the taxidermy episode was pretty brutal, especially considering the large number of American listeners there are.
