Join mathematician Professor Hannah Fry and science creator Michael Stevens (Vsauce) as they dig into the weird scientific questions that often go unexplored.
Welcome to The Rest Is Science, a show that sits in the fascinating space between what we think we know, and what we actually know. Why do we assume we understand things like time, randomness, or even gravity? Once you start questioning these familiar ideas, reality becomes astonishingly strange and completely fragile.
Whether you're a lifelong science fan or just naturally curious, The Rest Is Science will change your perception of reality, and prove that the biggest questions are always the most fun.
For a show about science, this is on a level with what youβd hear in the pub after a few drinks. Only with long ads before during and after.

The usual format for this kind of podcast is to have the expert and the idiot. There are no idiots here, both presenters are experts in both science and communicating, and they do not treat the audience as idiots either. The result is a curious, entertaining, and wide-ranging science show for people who appreciate not being talked down to but still want to learn.

Iβm sure itβs not intentional but the flyer makes Prof. Hannah look like an angel with wings. I like to think sheβs not and does human exceptionally well. ;)

Great speaker and high quality content, but unfortunately itβs clearly built for YouTube, with too much visual content that doesnβt work well if audio-only.

The βworstβ part about this is the episode length, I could easily listen to these two for hours!

Beautifully meandering conversations about a single topic. Who knew 30 mins on water could be so good?

Love the structure yet informality. Itβs like being down the pub with a pair of super nerds. A sense of joy and fun from the presenters.

β¦The amount of time that is taken up by ads is terrible relative to how long the podcast is. I donβt mind ads being inserted in free content but this was way too much, and quite off-putting.
