I found this podcast through “the rest is history” and I’m obsessed. I’ve been thinking about topics of 2 episodes that I listened to all day. Are we truly alone in the universe? Am I really drinking lava? Truly an interesting listen that is also light hearted yet has depth. Will keep listening, just a shame the episodes aren’t weekly! As someone who avoided science labs in college like the plague, I have been positively charmed by this fascinating podcast. I suppose it takes me back to a simpler time when I could just be awed by the world around me and not have worry about passing a class. School really has a knack for crushing curiosity. This art history major looks forward to each episode.

Unlike the rest of “The Rest Is”, Goalhanger have matched two people who do not compliment each other at all, and there is no depth or insight into the subject material. Michael Stevens especially seems to be more interested in talking than listening or understanding

I bailed at the 2:32 minute mark into a 38 minute podcast and can't actually give any insight into the content because as far as I can tell there was no content, just comercials. And the podcast, if there was any content (again which I was NEVER able to actually listen too), it must oinly be minutes long. Just not worth my time. But it WAS worth my time to write this review to warn others -too many commercials, not worth your time!!!!

I enjoy both the hosts but this show is stupid short with too many ad breaks and there’s too much conjecture. There needs to be more time in these episodes for the host to fully explain their positions but right now everything they talk about is incomplete because they only talk about it for 10 minutes! Wild.

It's a wasted opportunity, the trailer is garbage about water being lava because it can contains sediment and minerals? pointless. A big shame because I normally love the stuff Prof Hannah Fry does, but here she is constantly interrupted by what appears to be a man impersonating an 11 year old justifying a poor science project

Facts presented in a highly accessible way, without dumbing down. Some nice tips too (Free London science museum! How to talk to aliens!) Even the ads are informative. Well done Goalhanger; a good addition to the stable.

I hoped to learn something with this show- but nothing is properly explained and instead these guys just rabbit away being very unclear. I don’t know who this is aimed at- if it’s for nerds and geeks it’s not in any real depth, and of its for science idiots like myself I’m just left confused. For instance in the first episode they suddenly started using the term isotope- but no explanation as to what one is. Ill judged.
