Join mathematician Professor Hannah Fry and science creator Michael Stevens (Vsauce) as they dig into the weird scientific questions that often go unexplored.
Welcome to The Rest Is Science, a show that sits in the fascinating space between what we think we know, and what we actually know. Why do we assume we understand things like time, randomness, or even gravity? Once you start questioning these familiar ideas, reality becomes astonishingly strange and completely fragile.
Whether you're a lifelong science fan or just naturally curious, The Rest Is Science will change your perception of reality, and prove that the biggest questions are always the most fun.
It is so fun to listen to and contains interesting facts.

I love how passionate Hannah and Michael are about the different topics they cover. You can’t help but get carried along on the journey with them.

It's a wasted opportunity, the trailer is garbage about water being lava because it can contains sediment and minerals? pointless. A big shame because I normally love the stuff Prof Hannah Fry does, but here she is constantly interrupted by what appears to be a man impersonating an 11 year old justifying a poor science project

Facts presented in a highly accessible way, without dumbing down. Some nice tips too (Free London science museum! How to talk to aliens!) Even the ads are informative. Well done Goalhanger; a good addition to the stable.

Everything I'd expect from my favorite man from Vsauce. Glad we can have so much of the curious blend of sincere curiosity and weirdness that these two brings. Keep it coming!

Neither informative nor entertaining. “The infinite monkey cage” is a far better show, both more intellectual and amusing.

I hoped to learn something with this show- but nothing is properly explained and instead these guys just rabbit away being very unclear. I don’t know who this is aimed at- if it’s for nerds and geeks it’s not in any real depth, and of its for science idiots like myself I’m just left confused. For instance in the first episode they suddenly started using the term isotope- but no explanation as to what one is. Ill judged.

Sooo so obvious

Can’t make up my mind here, started well then the episode on Tears I found a total waste of time.

The man’s voice is super irritating. What a disappointment as I would love to be able to listen to this. Just Hannah Fry in her own please!!!

You know better than to call it Math. Secretly love Fry… nearly as good as with Rutherford, better than with Dara. She should definitely go on Traitors!

If the goal of this podcast is to significantly depress the intellectual capability and musings of Hannah fry with the addition of a dimwit then this is a raging success. If the goal is to show off the gentle of Hannah fry and be a genuinely compelling podcast then it’s an abject failure.

I’m a fan of both of the presenters! They each have their own style but Vsauce energy is very welcome! I think it works!! Love the show

I was super excited when hearing this show announced, big fan of Prof. Fry’s other pods, but this just hasn’t zinged (yet) for me. Hoping it finds its groove! Also please, UK podcast uk titles MathS!!!! Not math.

I despise the gambling ads and the damage gambling does to people, their families and communities.

Fry is a proper card carrying scientist, but she has been badly paired with VSauce. Goalhanger have got the wrong match here, and there are much better science podcasts out there. My favorite is Science of the Times. Two educated scientists (like Fry), and they get researchers on who have made key breakthroughs (including Nobel laureates)

Hey I like the episode about crying I just listened and the part about the elephants made my eyes watery. any sad animal stuff makes me cry also the story of the woman who lived on the island for 20 years alone was so interesting

A perfect blend of high-falutin aristocracy with charming nerdiness.

A collaboration I didn’t know I needed. I’ll be tuning in for every new episode. Thanks for making the world a better place guys.

I absolutely love Hannah’s input but the man is really annoying the way he talks over her and tries to dominate. Surely presenters should talk 50/50? Who is this show aimed at? Are you trying to capture the US market by having an American? But for the love of science - ask him to wind his neck in and let the Professor speak.

Fantastic Podcast, I love how dense all the info is and how it is just simply relaxing.

Sounds like Hannah Fry speaking to an AI. The future of all UK media is homogenise/Americanise
