He grew up as a musically inclined and began his journey in 1995 as a bass player in a pop rock band. He has since gone on to diversify his portfolio and offerings as a beatmaker and composer, working with various artists and creators.Utanonomba is an avid lover of basses, percussion, piano and strings. He uses his contrasting ideas to create an immersive experience that transports the listener into the world of the game or film and is style compliments visual storytelling in an authentic and engaging way.The moniker of Utanonomba is derived from the Japanese name “UTANO” meaning “field of songs”. This is combined with the African given name of “NOMBA” which stands for creativity, wisdom and tolerance. This is a testament to Utanonomba eagerness to embrace diversity and culture, as well as integrate this into his music.
