<p>How do you become a stand-up comedian? How do you book a gig? How do you write a joke? All this and more is what I would write if I cared about self-promotion. Advertising is the devil.</p><br><p>On 6th November 2024 I decided to start telling jokes on stage to people. Within 6 months I'd gone from walk-in spots at pubs to the final of a competition, having my jokes played on the BBC and doing a half-hour show at a comedy festival.</p><br><p>I've always wondered how industries work behind the scenes and I try to lay out who, how, and where I got my gigs and then how each of them went.</p><br><p>I do have a Patreon for some extra behind the scenes bits.</p><hr><p style='color:grey; font-size:0.75em;'> Hosted on Acast.
