One of the best podcasts about. Funny and entertaining listen.

It’s clear which guests are good at networking with executives or working a live audience. They’re adaptable, good natured, and even have something interesting to say. They can just be really deft. You can also tell when they handle the hosts with aplomb. cuz they’re not good, the hosts don’t want to be good. Some episodes you can listen to over and over: Tim Ley, Jason Reitman. But for your sake, unsubscribe.

Absolutely brilliant podcast. The charisma of the hosts and their chemistry with the guests creates a wonderful atmosphere. I don’t really understand the recent 1 star reviews as a few adverts and a selection of guests that don’t suit personal taste doesn’t suddenly make the content worthless. The 200+ run is filled with so many highlights and on balance it is easily worth the 5 stars in my opinion.

I adore Ed and James and this podcast so much. We have started playing the off menu game at parties as an ice breaker, and this year for my 50th birthday my family members all made my favorite drink, bread, starter, main, side and dessert (always dessert James!!) for me. It was wonderful and we are making it a tradition for all of our big birthdays! Thanks so much and Steve-O totally Ackroyded.

As a foodie/comedy fan I used to love this podcast but recently I find the guests tedious in the extreme, the last straw was listening to some bloke I’ve never heard of repeat his banal views on Monster Munch for what felt like a fortnight, either rein in these bores or get some more interesting people on. I’m out though.

I love food and I love comedy. This podcast is the best mix of both. Thank you James and Ed.

PLUGGING. People plugging things all the time. And they’re in every other podcast plugging. Be original and stop the plugging. PLUGGING.

But who is this git? This is unlistenable. he’s not nearly as interesting as he thinks he is. I don’t want to say you should never meet your heroes that’s completely your business. But for the love of all that’s holy please don’t make us meet them too.

This last episode was not enjoyable. Looking forward to better guests!!

My favourite new podcast. Ok I’m a little late to the party but this has me laughing out loud and salivating on the regular. James and Ed are perfect hosts, with an eclectic guest list, just the right amount of banter and some proper foodie knowledge. I’m team Ed on the starters and cheese board btw.

Great podcast. Thanks to the people on YouTube who upload the panel shows, i know these two guys and their guests. Always lovely, never sucking up to their guests like some other podcasts... I'm looking at you Smartless' hosts. Keep it delicious! No cabbage!

This may be a good podcast, I just can’t understand a word.

Recent guests have been really poor and not funny

I love James and Ed together and I love this podcast, I’m a long distance delivery driver so for me podcasts are a big thing. Especially this one as they make me laugh so much! Watched James Acaster in Bristol the other night and loved it and now just got tickets for the off the menu on tour also in Bristol and can’t wait! Keep up the LOL’s lads🤟🏼

Usually great - especially love Nick Frost taking about cooking “wing rib of beef” for lunch and then trying to make fun of “ white middle class” diners was the most hilarious lack of self awareness I’ve heard for a while.

The guests are always tee total and slightly sanctimonious. SNORE. It would be great to listen to someone who is really fun and less worried about their public image
JBGozzy · GB
The format is kinda done now that we’ve exhausted all the low hanging fruit, right? Some of the guests that have been on recently are so esoteric that not even my writer/editor partner is fully convinced anyone cares about what they’d like for grub on a given day. Get someone on death row or an astronaut to answer, still or sparkling? That’s how I’d save it. Xx (P.S. That Fesshole was 100% Acaster).

Came to Off Menu very late and am now bingeing the whole back catalogue. I smile the whole way through and laugh out loud, often in public, in every episode. Thanks for all the joy the podcast brings ❤️

Hilarious and informative with really interesting guests and a genie

Unfortunately the advertisements are so annoying and over the top it’s verging on ruining the show as they put about 10 in each episode.
