The thing, for me, that makes a really enjoyable, relaxing podcast, is when you feel as though you're hanging out with a couple of mates, just having a chat about interesting things. And Off Menu really delivers, and does so in what might in other circumstances be referred to as spades, but here we shall call really big spoonfuls! It's always funny; always (well at least often) introduces some sort of curious food you might never have had / heard of; and always, always makes me hungry! Bravo Chaps, Bravo! P.S. Every time James talks about his love of bananas, I find myself thinking about how I heard once (probably on No Such Thing As A Fish) that artificial banana flavour, which is oft remarked upon as not tasting at all like real bananas, is actually based on a type of banana we used to have, which got wiped out by some sort of blight! And the bananas we have today were re-cultivated from wild plantains and so taste completely different.

Ed and James work really well together and their different styles of humour compliment each other. I really like the creative way they handle ads/sponsors, their adverts have actually had me laughing as much as the podcast content at times and I’ve even avoided skipping their ads due to this, which I consider a very rare talent. Wish there was more than one episode a week to listen to!

This is by far my favourite podcast. I found this about a month ago and I have listened to all the episodes non-stop since. Always puts a smile on my face. I love that James is an odd socked genie. So funny and I love the entire concept. 5 stars (I'm not a real critic).

I like these two as comedians. Comedians who have scripts. They’re just not funny enough when it’s off the cuff. It’s alright as background noise but the hosts themselves have never made me laugh, it’s all on the the guests. Shame, I was expecting more.
