Iβm a die hard Acaster fan. If heβs talking, Iβm listening, so itβs not a surprise this has become one of my favorite podcasts. He and Gamble have the easy chemistry of longtime friends, so basically no matter the guest itβs gonna be a fun time. That said, sometimes thereβs a guest who blows your mindβElla Purnell is a prime example. What a delightful weirdo, she turned out to be her rant about the best letters that can become other letters is exceptionally hilarious. Hard to imagine that moment occurring on any other podcast. π©·

Very funny. Enjoyable. Charming. Time well spent. Engaging personalities. The hosts are the friend group you wish you had.

I swear to god I thought James was staring at a stack of pancakes this whole time. Theyβre papadums of course. Anyway this podcast is delicious. Judi Love ep. is incredible.

Saoirse-Monica Jackson was the guest of 2024. What a delight.

I have listened to every episode and it always makes me laugh

Worth listening to for James, Ed and some if the guests really bring it. Giving an average rating here to be honest but this doesnβt reflect how much I enjoy the hosts and some episodes. But some guests, they totally indulge even when the guests are just dull and may only be there for promotion. Having said that some of the people even with heavy promotions have done a really, really funny job. I guess itβs nice that the hosts are loyal to their mates β¦ but they could be more selective about which episodes get released. Maybe they are - and these ARE the best.

Loved the Ospreay episode.

Has anyone aside from Ed Gamble ever laughed at him? Thankfully James makes up for his lack of humour.

I love this podcast but recently it feels like the ads are half of the show. Theyβre so long and so frequent
RA07287 Β· GB
But the ads are become so intrusive and so long winded now Iβve given up following it. I get everyone is here to make money but 5-6mins at the beginning before weβve got any content is unbearable. Sorry guys.

The genius of the show is that food choices reveal the often strange internal lives of others. Layers of unique experience result in very specific, frequently weird menus. Sadly, the boys just want to laugh at this. Highly enjoyable for the first few seasons, but as the pool of guests gets wider, the show has not evolved beyond being, essentially, a βbitβ. Have the courage to be sincere every so often. It wonβt break the show. Speaking of courage, Ed, mate, I believe in you. Donβt give up on being more like Stewart Lee.

Every now and again there will be a guest on this that will have you in tears of laughter. Itβs very rare I will listen to the same episode again of anything but the Danny Dyer, Joe Thomas and Tom Davis episodes are just magnificently funny and I will go back to.

Just here to say, re-listened to the Noel Fielding ep and I think Ed and James (and Noel) may be entitled to a contributors fee for creating the voice/character of Longlegs. Thatβs all, bye!

The Danny Dyer episode was one of the best,Itβs so lovely when the guests make Ed & James laugh.

I listen even when I donβt know the guest. Thatβs how you know itβs good. Then after the show, I adore the guest! Iβm always curious what the guest eat after the show. Does it make them want whatever they were talking about? Can we get a follow up?

Rick Astley seems like such a chill, grounded guy and the number one candidate for most boring guest yet. I think I could hear James looking out of the side of his eyes, making sure he hasn't traveled to an alternate universe.
meemeebozip Β· US
Used to love this, but the guests are now seriously underwhelming. Need some big names to get the pod back on track as Ed & James are genuinely great at interviewing.
