Such a great idea and so well executed! James is one of the most original and genuinely funny comics out there. Ed has genuinely good food knowledge and they make a great pair. The guests are variable, and season 3 has definitely seen an increase in people selling their latest book/film/tour rather than those interested in food which is disappointing. The best episodes are those with guests who genuinely love their food and can articulate it. Best episodes so far: 1. Sindhu Vee 2. Kumail Nanjaini 3. Greg Davies (for the laughter) 4. Katharine Ryan 5. Krishnan Guru-Murthy

Funnymen and (variable but generally good) quality guests let down by intense reverb on the audio and incessant shouting. Audio needs better recording with proper gear, and a clean up, with better sound design overall.

Love this podcast, interesting food facts and guest stories not to mention the hilarious hosts James and Ed!

This podcast is brilliant! It finds the nice balance of comedy, anecdotal stories, and food. Ed and James are some of my favorite comedians and they are a force of wit together that makes a wonderful hour of humor! The guests, who vary in profession and personality, give the podcast an ever-changing and delightfully unpredictable air! Would recommend listening to anyone who needs a laugh!

Iβve loved listening to this podcast since the beginning. The concept and execution are great and, with the right guest, the episodes have me laughing on public transport like any comedy podcast should (Greg Davies, Aisling Bea and Phil Wang were particular stand-out/ memorable episodes). Recently Iβve noticed a bit of a dip in form which I reckon is partly down to the guests not really βgettingβ it...either the concept or the jokes...or theyβre doing the rounds on a promotion tour and itβs more of a tick-list for them. Either way, I always recommend it and I keep listening because the chemistry between James and Ed is always fantastic.

Love the show. The host are so funny and play so well off each other. Found James on Netflix (funniest 4 hours on TV). Then once I listened to the podcast I found Ed on Prime (well worth the watch). YouTube also provides the pair hosting Just Pudding. Everything these lads touch is gold.

this podcast is the light at the end of a dark tunnel, if that dark tunnel is filled with, like, true crime podcasts

After I listen to this I often dream Iβm James Acasters wife. 5 out of 5 for enhancing my conscious and unconscious mind, really going the extra mile.

I guess as with everything the quality of the content is determined by the quality of the guest. On a positive note, Iβve not encountered Cheing before and will now try to avoid him therefore improving my listening experience in general.

Most episodes of the first two series were funny, and some were very good indeed, but now they seem only to have guests on who are clearly just there to promote their latest project and the podcast suffers for it.

Love the show! Absolute belter. Every episode a pearler! Looks like you have a scrap for the Hong Kong pod rep after I just saw Pineapple Joeβs review! ;)

Itβs honestly the best when James Acaster will just flat out challenge a guest because he hates their choices. It was shocking at first and a little uncomfortable, but now I just hope he gives everyone a hard time.

Big fan of these two. My husband and I love watching British tv (we live in America) and get so excited to watch anything involving our favorite comedians. These guys are hilarious and are just as entertaining off-screen as they are on β€οΈ

Hilarious banter, great guests, and has me narrowing down my own dream meal list. Thanks to James, Ed, and the Great Benito for always making me laugh and my stomach rumble. Favorite eps: Greg Davies, Tom Allen, and Selasi Gbormittah.

Just a little preface- if anyone says this is not the most amazing thing on the internet- they are WRONG! Perfect for sleeping, walking, eating- basically if you can do it, you can do it better with this. There is a guest for everyone. Politics? Done. Chefs? Done. Comedians? DONE. Even the ads are entertaining. Little bursts of happy. This is the best podcast. Do not fight me on this one. You will lose. :)

I would have given 5 stars but listening to people eating into microphones is disgusting, stop doing it!

I love the eclectic mix of guests and menus, I love even more anticipating whatβs going to push Jamesβ buttons! But please be less Britishly polite to the guests and Iβll upgrade to 5 stars! some of them do deserve both barrels - yes, Iβm talking about Victoria Coren-Mitchell! Also, huge complaint, I canβt go to sleep to this, laughing too much. Thank you, palette cleansers!!

Absolutely hilarious. I know the concept sounds a little strange at first, but you wonβt regret listening. I recommend starting with the Greg Davies episode. Thatβs the one that got me listening. If youβre not super into food, donβt worry. Iβm not either and I still love this podcast. This isnβt really a food podcast, itβs a comedy podcastβfood just happens to be a recurring topic. The funniest moments are when the guests let it slip that they enjoy (or donβt enjoy) something Ed and James find completely unreasonable (see the Victoria Coren Mitchell episode).

Do you have a stomach? Do you like to laugh? This is the podcast for you! Never fails to amuse me. James Ginger-not-ginger Acaster and Ed Giggly Gamble are brilliant hosts and the line up of guests are top notch. Very well done.

I can believe thereβs a laundering scam going on with Bay Leaf, none of my local shops (Asda, Lidl or Co-Op) have had any for months.

Iβd like to hear a bit more from the guests and a lot less from James.
