Premise sounded a bit like “meh” but downloaded from a recommendation. When the guests are comedians they are really hilarious and far more fun than I expected as Ed and James are funny and have good food knowledge - but I skip the guests I don’t particularly like 😂 love the Tom Allen, ashling bea and Phil Wang etc ones. More comedians (as guests) please! (Also - all the food places are all london...invite some more guests from around the UK please!)

Literally obsessed with this podcast. But am sad there aren’t more episodes because I’ve only listened to 6 and I’m already worried about catching up and not having more. This podcast makes me laugh so hard, it makes me so hungry and James Acaster is my spirit animal, fairy godmother and best friend who doesn’t know it.

Really enjoy the food chat, Ed gamble is charming and funny, James acaster tends to the annoying with his talk of genies but does manage to get some good jokes in as well. Quality of the episode is very guest dependent, mostly of the highest quality though Lou Sanders was just very irritating. Also they should change up the adverts they do. James Acaster probably couldn’t talk me out of a burning car. Also why have the secret ingredient if it’s going to be something so obscure or unlikely that it becomes redundant? Either pick something plausible or drop it as part of the show. Anyway listen to it it’s rather good.

Absolutely loved it pre lock down but it’s been my utter saviour during, as it’s a total breathe of fresh air and a perfect time to forget anything of importance. So funny and charming, nothing bad happens so yes a lonely antidote to real life!

Enjoyed this episode. Totally relatable - grew up in Japan, lived in SE Asia n just bought a bottle of the Rose with the chickens on it by coincidence. Making my fav tofu dish for dinner. Not sure about the cheese board...
