As an American listener, I stumbled onto this podcast when one of my favorite musicians, Jeff Rosenstock, promoted his appearance on the podcast via instagram. I had recently watched James’s Netflix special, “Repertoire,” and figured that this podcast would be one that I would enjoy. Turns out, I did enjoy it. I blew through the entire series and am now up to date. I highly recommend this podcast. On a side note, I would like to say I am big fan appetizers/starters and cheese boards (whether accompanied by charcuterie or not). However, I believe that they belong together at the beginning of the meal, not as the dessert. Dessert is reserved for sugary sweetness, and those who believe otherwise can go drown in the Thames. (Just kidding, we all love you too, Ed)

Fantastic ad campaign for Cawston Press. Not sure why I haven’t bought into it sooner.

Although I have to confess, I am not a sophisticated consumer of Indian food and so had to Google what a papadam was. That may make me ineligible to listen.

During the pandemic we’ve been exploring near home in Canada since we haven’t been able to travel anywhere else. Each time we catch up on Off Menu episodes. So incredibly funny & entertaining! Always a treat to listen. And then we’re starving by the time we get to our destination.

I love this podcast and have listened to every single episode at least twice. These two are the best comedy couple ever and I am totally obsessed with them. Thank goodness for this podcast for keeping me going through Covid and getting me through some very dark times!

I have only just discovered this podcast and have started from number one. Loving it! The Victoria Coren episode in particular had me laughing out loud in a packed train. Can’t wait to work my way through the back catalogue

Really enjoy this podcast, the only thing I would say is maybe don’t use this podcast to fall asleep to. Some of the interval sounds include buzzers going off and have found myself being jolted awake a few times in confusion. Other than that, a great listen and eagerly await every new episode.

‘James Acaster’s Off Menu’ is a joyous podcast. One of the best out there. James’ pull as the UK’s top comedian ensures high quality guests from all over the planet. His laid back nature, friendly personality and quick wit always make for an entertaining chat. With his Parkinson-style interview technique he discovers not just the guest’s favourite foods but delves deeper into their lives whilst always making the guest feel relaxed (even if he does give them a gentle ribbing if they choose a cheeseboard for dessert!). And to do all that whilst pretending to be a genie-waiter is inspired. The magic is further enhanced by tech whiz ‘The Great Benito’ behind the scenes. Also, voiceover artist and diabetes obsessive Edgar Ramble pops up sometimes as James’ sidekick to talk about cheese.

Have listened to every episode at least once. Love food? Love funny stuff? Love James repeating Mash King and Diet Coke anecdotes? If so, this is for you!

My friend recommended this about 3 weeks ago. I binge listened to it every night in bed and it’s my new fave podcast. I love the hosts and food so it’s a winner. I’m now relistening!….popadoms or bread?!!! Gets me everytime 😂
