These days too many Americans being blah. Just on a press tour for their films and completely uninteresting and unfunny. I won’t listen to Americans anymore. On a side note, and of course it’s personal taste but for the first time ever I switched off half way through on Harry Enfield. cringe. Used to be soooo great, I hope they can get back to their originality.

Long time listener, first time reviewer. Fantastic conversations with food as the universal connector. Seamlessly leads to funny stories and memories that humanize your incredible guests! I love asking friends about their dream meals and learning new things about them. American listener here popping in to say how happy I was to hear your Boarshead reads. Best hotdogs in the game!

Yes, yes, Off Menu is always good for the chuckles and mental taste buds, but the episode with Ayoade really opened up the bouquet of banter like never before. I elect her for Guest host. Very good.

Now turned into an advert with a podcast interspersed. Used to listen to every ep, can’t remember the last time I listened to one. Probably each time I’ve given it another chance the ads have put me off again.

No need for a full-blown dissertation from our beloved Tesco meatball reviewer, seemingly auditioning for a spot at The Guardian, it’s a cracking podcast. Still reading this? Stop faffing about and give it a whirl. It’s free, after all

I have to admit, at times , the podcast seems slow. Ultimately It’s dependant on who the guest is. Some times they work, other times it’s really a struggle for ed and James to land jokes or make conversation, the person they’re are talking to either has no idea what’s going on or they’re just too serious and have no comedic value or literally no taste buds, the perfect example is the show they done with Robert de Niro, we all love him but hes aged and had absolutely no idea what was going on ,although it was funny at times , it was hard to listen to as rob really showed his age,it made me sad. I felt bad for the guys, your could almost hear their hearts breaking.Hearing rob and the way he was talking ,it was a stark reminder of an aging reality. I feel that the negative reviews here are from people that either don’t get millennial(s) humour(James and Ed) or don’t know what a Châteauneuf-du-Pape is . If you’re a foodie and like these guys this podcast is for you. To name but a few, Dawn French and Lou Sanders and Danny Dyer have been my favourites. I don’t mind the adverts, these guys have to earn their money somehow. It’s free at the end of the day and some listeners might actually be interested in the products advertised. Get over it. Adverts are the least of your problems.

Came to this podcast from being a fan of taskmaster and I’m a huge foodie. This did not disappoint. The concept is brilliant and so interesting. I only listen to the comedian and am less interested in the big movie stars who tend to be on publicity tours for a film or project. I wish the sound quality for James was a little better - but otherwise this is such a sweet place to listen and smile.

You talk a little bit too much about food and you make fun of people while you’re on the show that is so rude if you’re going to talk about someone rudely then at least do it behind there back not in front of there face and the hole in tire world! Even if you’re lying about the stuff that goes on in the episodes you still shouldn’t say that. How rude 😡

I may have to listen to that episode again and again. What a triumph! What’s even more funny about it is that Jeff could have done the entire episode solo with just the questions available and no hosts. Just excellent. What a guest 👏❤️ Imagine having dinner with him 🤣

I’ve always loved this podcast but my 8 year old has recently heard the 2025 best of and has now insisted on listening to the Poppadoms or Bread complication over and over again!! For the last week or two I have been completely unable to listen to the radio in the car, as I’m now not allowed 😀 Would anyone else like a complete list of every single Poppadoms or Bread in one stupidly long podcast?

15 minutes of laughing at their own jokes while waffling on about liver….I don’t get the appeal

I used to listen to every episode but now I’d say it’s less than 25% as I just don’t know the guests and it doesn’t interest me as much. Often go back and listen to the classics though - Claudia, Rylan, Joseph Quinn, Munya, Danny Dyer, Julian Clary, Katherine Ryan, Michelle Keegan, all great episodes

Finally the secret ingredient pays off! I’ve been listening to the back catalog for a while & finally someone got booted! No spoilers but it did not disappoint. It’s quickly become my favourite podcast. I’ll be sad when I catch up & can’t listen to multiple episodes a week.

Funny and easy listening. Always makes me laugh! Fave eps so far aisling Bea l, Noel feilding Greg Davies and too many to list. Ed and james very funny together but james makes it for me! Everyone complaining about the ads there isn’t that many and I just skip em anyway! (Except james valiant boiler ad 😂😂😂😂) I usually listen to Redhanded all the time so this always makes a nice change from true crime and just light hearted and funny ❤️

It has been so long since I heard Phil’s menu, but when Ed said the name of the dish that Phil was crazy about growing up, I can only assume it was Char Kway Teow. It was my mum’s favourite too. It made me smile to remember how much she loved that.

Food is yum yum. Comedy is fun fun. Yum + fun = perfection. Listened from the start and love it so much. Ed and James, and their guests, have kept me company and helped me through some tough times over the last few years. Thank you.
