Singer / Songwriter / ProducerJoe B The Professor was born and raised in Chicago, IL and currently lives in Memphis, TN. He has lived in many places in the United States including, California and Texas. His music reflects the places he’s lived and he infuses Blues, Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B and Funk into his music. Some of his influences are Prince, The Gap Band, James Brown, The Isley Brothers, Charlie Wilson, Tank, Jaheim, The Weeknd, R Kelly, Dru Hill, Sam Cook, Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige. He started as a self-taught producer and built his first make-shift studio in his sister’s basement. Now he’s built a professional home based studio and he has given advice to several engineers whom he has learned from as well. He has released over 100 songs that were written, produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by himself in his private studio.
