Thanks Paul for the encouraging podcasts. I stumbled across Compelled looking for something other than good teaching sermons etc and the odd adventure/survival podcast that never gave any glory to God’s hand in the life of the survivor and which left one empty. I’m so encouraged to hear how God’s salvation story in the life of these believers is so unique like a tapestry with countless providential events orchestrated by our Sovereign God. I found out about “Compelled” because of their ad on “The World and Everything in It.” I appreciate the stories and listen to them as I do housework. I often find myself thinking about snatches of the conversations weeks and months after I’ve listened to the stories. I grew up listening to the dramatized stories from the Pacific Garden Mission’s “Unshackled” radio program, and this podcast feels a bit like that. I have shared a number of “Compelled” episodes with my family and enjoy listening to past episodes in the archives. I want to say thank you to Paul Hastings and the rest of his team who helps these stories come to life!

I searched and searched the internet for a place to listen to testimonies of regular people whose lives were changed for good by the grace of Jesus Christ. Let me tell you, there is some weird stuff out there, and even some pretty good stuff but just without quality production. Somehow, I finally landed on Compelled. I forgot what my first episode was - I think #49 with Ron Adkins, maybe?? Regardless, I was hooked from the start! I think I have gone back and listened to every story and I can’t wait for next season. If you want to hear examples of the power of the Good News about Jesus at work in the modern world, check this podcast out!

These testimonies show me that ANYONE can be chosen by God and that He will do the work to bring that person to salvation using His people, His word and the Holy Spirit who convicts, convinces and orchestrates all of the pieces. I need to keep praying that my unsaved loved one is chosen and that God will give him the gifts of belief and grace and I need not get discouraged or give up. The Lord is sovereign over all hearts. Thank you for this amazing podcast.

What an amazing story of a man who endured the 9/11 terrorist attack on the Pentagon! I know he suffered much pain through his experiences, but am thankful he shares God’s goodness in all that has happened. Thank you for every Compelled podcast!
