Tobacco company <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_%26_Williamson" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Brown & Williamson</a>, former makers of <i><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kool_(cigarette)" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Kool</a></i> cigarettes, began producing <i>Avalon</i> in 1932. Avalon was Brown & Williamson's 'economy' brand, while never actually mentioning that term.
